YEAR ONE: STEAK
One Fifth Steak is Chris Shepherd’s version of a steakhouse. While there is definitely a focus on beef, it’s not the only protein on the menu. Cold seafood is a focal point of the menu, just as the cold bar is a focal point of the restaurant design. The menu at One Fifth isn’t bound by locality as Underbelly is, although Chris will continue to buy produce from his local farmers. But he’ll also serve ingredients that aren’t indigenous to the area—seafood, potatoes, olives.
